Washing machine wont spin properly?
Question:its an indesit, gets up to full spin briefly then stops, any ideas?
Answers:
alot of machines have a cut out if the wash is not balanced or you've overload try a smaller wash
It`s time to buy new one.
May be the timer, the belt, or something else, probably need a professional.
Sometimes washing machines get thrown off balance by running a load of laundry that was unevenly placed in the washer basin. If you had unevenness in the washer when it went on 'Spin' cycle, it could throw the washer off balance and will need to be repaired.
There is nothing wrong with the belt because it spins. You will need to get someone experienced with domestic appliances to look at the timer and control circuits. In the mean time open the small filter door near the floor and remove any dirt inside there. Please note that water will come out when the door is opened.
Sounds like an emergengy cut out because of to much lateral movement of the drum. Get the professionals in before you make the problem worse.
Does the filter need cleaning out?
mine does the same thing. It has an in built stabiliser and when the washing inside isnt stable it will turn a few times then stop to allow the washing to level out then it will attempt a spin again.
First, make sure you have nothing trapped inside the machine like an odd sock (so thats where they all go). If it is still performing bad then it is best if you get a new one or a good secondhand one from your local paper. It costs so so much to call out someone to mend your machine that you will end up paying more to mend it than to buy another one.
Good luck,

call a repairman...much cheaper than a new machine...and doing without for a week
OR
look into buying a new machine...the day theY deliver it they can take the old one.
hi try it with nothing inside, see what happens if it does the same you have a fault on circuit board
