you're definitely going to want to steam it. taffeta material is way too delicate. putting a hot iron on it may cause it to scorch and that's not a good look. most drycleaners can steam it in a day if you have it to them before 9am

Turn the dress inside out and get a cloth and wet the cloth with water. Turn on the iron and it should have a setting that says nylon. I would then put the cloth on the dress and start ironing. The reason why you would turn the dress inside out so the taffeta won`t shine and the wet cloth to protect the taffeta from scorching. Good Luck to you!
take it to a cleaners and let them do..it shouldn't be all that expensive. Around here just to steam it is between $4.00 - $7.00 depending on the length and cut.
