Smelly Laundry, any solutions?
Question:If i leave my laundry in the machine just even 2 hours after washing it, it gets all smelly and I have to wash it again. Why does it do this? And is there anyway to prevent it? I put my washing in before work and when i get home I put it out and it usually has a weird smell to it. Anyway to get rid of the smell and not get off my lazy *** and have to put it out straight away?

I believe it may simply be the hard mineral type of water you have. Try using a good, strong smelling, good cleaning detergent in your wash. I doubt it is good to name brands... but, Tide is good. Arm and Hammer, has baking soda in it, to help kill the odors. and, Gain has a good smell, as well. Also, when you dry your clothes, use a fabric softener sheet, it will destroy the smell, and freshen your clothes.
The reason why it gets smelling is because it's wet and it is not getting any air.
it's called mildew.
when something stays wet and sits around, it collects mold and starts to smell gross...
you need to dry it right after you wash it. or at least within a a couple hours...
there is really no way around that.
unless you just keep bying new sheets and throwing the old one away you lazy piece or crap. haha.
leave it open for some time to dry
throw it away.
It is proabably starting to get moldey don't let it sit for too long in washer...
there is no solution if you leave it in the machine all day long
what i do is wash at night then i hang things out on the back patio on airers and coat hangers and bring them in next day when i come home from work
The clothes become mildewed very quickly after they are wet, set a timer and you won't forget to take them out after their cycle is complete and dry them immediately.
I always add amonia to my regular detergent, for the purpose of cutting odors, and it does work great. It may help with your problem, however, if the laundry sits too long, damp. it will smell. Good luck to you... :))
It shouldn't start smelling after only two hours maybe the washing machine is smelly from washing which was left there for more than two hours and now it transfers to the clothing that sits in the smell. To get rid of the smell in the washing machine run the machine empty on the hottest it can go.
Good Luck
Rewash your laundry with your regular soap, and one cup of baking soda. Then run a cycle of hot water one cup bleach and one cup baking soda on the longest setting, This will clear any funky oders from your machine. and after washing each time leave your washing machine lid open. In theese hot summer months wet stuff mildews much faster. :)
Wash with a 2 cups of vinegar in cold wather. Then rewash with Tide in cold water.
