Can AirWick scented oils get too hot?

Question:I bought an AIR WICK® Scented Oil Warmer. (The kind that plugs in) It's really strong so I usually unplug it after an hour or so. When I unplug it I notice that it is very hot. If I were to leave it plugged in for an extended period of time would it get too hot and start a fire? I really like the scent and everything but I don't think it is work risking the safety of my home and family. Has anyone else had experience with this?

Answers:
Although it does tend to get a little warm, I have never had a problem with mine and I keep them plugged in all the time.

As for the urban legend that claims these types of air fresheners cause fires, here is a good article on "Snopes" that says it is false. http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/household/...

I have read where they can cause fires. I use the glade plug in and I just plug it in when I am @ home and I do not keep it plugged in over night, like I would my candle warmers.
