How do you kill knats?
Question:
Answers:
If you get rid of whatever is attracting them, they will go away quickly.
The new gnat in my life this year was the fungus gnat. These little guys spend their larval cycle in potted plants with damp soil. Allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings will stop supporting the growth of fungus, and new gnats won't be produced. I stopped watering my houseplants for 2 weeks and the gnat problem went away completely.
Kind of the same thing as killing fruit flies. Place a dish of vinegar with a dash of liquid dish soap on the counter. For some reason they like it and will get caught in the solution. Good luck!
First of all you have to find the reason they are there. There is something they are attracted to a piece of fruit or something in the trash maybe. After that is gone they will soon follow! The vinegar/detergent trick does work but it has to be sweet vinegar i.e. apple cider vinegar not just plain white vinegar..hope this helps!
Burn a few Citronella candles. They will leave. That is the only way I have been able to get rid of them.
