How to remove old odor from leatherette furniture?
Question:i tried javex and pine sol, and odor is still there...
these are 2 old hair dresser styling chairs I bought used.

wipe with vinegar then let dry. vinegar absorbs the smell. then when dry spray with some Lysol lemon scent
the juice in a Spam can. clean it with that.
Spray and clean them with hairspray.
Try vinegar and water. Vinegar is a great "odor eater"!

None of those solutions will work because the fabric is plastic. The problem is in the stuffing. The only thing I can suggest is to put them outside for a few days. If that doesn't work, reupholster.
