How can i get hem tape off my pants?

Question:i used the hem tape correctly but some of it got on the pants that is showing. does anyone know how to remove this? also, when i go have my pants professionally hemmed, will the hem tape come off all the way?

Heat makes it stick, as you well know, so put a cloth over the tape that you want to remove, then lay the iron on it, long enough to soften the tape, then you can scrape it off with a butter knife, or something like it.
