1-800-steamer. stanley steamer is a great reputable company that cleans upholstry and carpets. i use them, and they've done a great job with all the stains that come with 2 kids and 2 dogs.

Call a cleaning company
Call a steam cleaner company like Stanley Steamer. Get a price. If it is more than the couch is worth go get a new couch.
time to buy a new couch
Type of oil? Type of couch?

I use a product called Spot Shot, not the carpet one w/ the orange lid but the fabric one with the yellow lid. I use this to take care of a male cat problem I have, and his loving the end of my loveseat. Additionally, since it is oil you are trying to clean out you may need a grease cutter - best I've used is Greased Lightning. I would suggest the GL first to get rid of the oily, then the Spot Shot to get rid of the smell.

Small possibility of discoloration in the couch, but it's ruined anyway. If you can get the smell out and suffer only slight discoloration that's not too bad. If discoloration is extreme, there are always slip covers.
NEVER, I repeat never...change your cars oil on the couch.
I dont know about the sofa, but I find that corn starch is great for grease stains on fabric. Sprinkle it on and rub it in and give it some time to absorb the oil, then vacuum it up.

Baking soda and vinegar both help with odors (but dont use together - they cancel each other out and you just end up with water)

Spraying Hydrogen Peroxide on the couch will kill odor-causing bacteria gently and safely, without unpleasant and toxic fumes. Small possibility of discoloration, depending on the type of fabric your sofa is made of.
It depends on the type of oil, and the type of fabric of your sofa. Since it is already ruined, you can try soap and water to get the oil up. A professional service will be able to tell you if they can get the oil up, and if the sofa can be saved. Depending on the age of the sofa, it might not be worth saving, and you might be better off just buying a new one.
dish soap , like dawn, and water should get it up. I should help with the smell too.
