Help!! how do you get rid of 'black moss' looking stain on my bathroom floor mats and towels??
Question:Where I live, it is very humid. As soon as the 'black' stain appear on the towels (normally, it starts at the edge), I can't seemed to get rid of it!! It will then spread all over the towels or mats!!

Spot treat with lemon juice, wash with as hot of water as possible, set in sun to dry. You might try hanging your bath mat over the tub after bathing. Also running your bathroom fan will remove moisture from the air. Leave it running for at least 10 minutes after finishing up in bathroom.
That black stain is mold / mildew. It is very bad for your health. You could do a few things ... If you have a mat/rug on the floor, move it away while you shower, and do not step on it when you get out of the shower. I know that seems to be the purpose of the rug but it is getting wet and because you live in a humid environment, it never dries! Try to keep the bathroom as dry as possible. Wash your towels after every use or hang them to be dried where they can get fresh air. Some homes are designed poorly. It may be that your bathroom does not have proper ventilation. Just aim to keep everything as dry as possible.
That blackish stain is definately mold. You can try using bleach on it or for a natural alternative try sol-u-guard from Melaleuca. Also wash your mat or towels with the bleach to kill the bacteria before using it again. After the spot is gone make sure you hang your mat or towel to dry after you finish your shower that will prevent the problem from happening again. Only place dry items on your floor. If the bleach doesn't get rid of the spot you may have to consider changing your flooring because mold is very harmfull to your health. Good luck!
