I answered this question a couple of days ago for another poster with an ant problem.
Mix equal part of confectioner sugar with equal parts of baking soda.
Put some on small paper plates or a jar cover or whatever you have available and place them around where the ants are.
The ants will carry the mixture back to the Queen who will ingest the mixture. And poof...Queen will die and no more ants.
Queen is the producer of ants, so...you will be rid of them in no time.
Trust me, we have done this many times with results every time.
I had a problem with something like that & called pest control. I was told they were`nt ants but flightless hornets. They`re very potent & can put you in the hospital if they sting you. Call pest control now.

Not to worry! Most common market brand ant killer bait will
take care of you.
really want to get rid of them for good? Go out and find the nest, and flood the entrance with a water. If you cant, option one is really good.
Finally, make certain that you keep the floor and countertops
clean beyond clean. Just bc they arent actual sugar ants, all ants alike enjoy scavenging for crumbs and sticky spots. Chances are, if you have ants, something is not clean enough.
