How do you clean that downy residue out of your washer?

Question:How do you get the downy gunk out of the washer? I don't think I will ever use that stuff again.

Scrub. I stopped using Downy (and liquid detergent) for that very reason.

Vinegar. And yes don't use that stuff. Try the dryers balls instead. They work great.

Run a cycle of bleach or vinegar on Hot water only. It worked for me.

Do a rinse cycle with a bit of laundry bleach added to the water

Fill it with Hot water soak then wash and do not use downy again .
