Question for the cleaning lady out there?

Question:i m working for a house cleaning company, they schedule me for 2 hour hour house clean up job,i have to drive 30 minute each way to get there, should i be getting travel expences or get paid extra hour to drive time, thanx for the help

Answers:
If the house you are going to be cleaning is 30 min away, then you should either get paid for traveling, or get to use a company vehicle. Ask your boss about their policy. If you are traveling while on the clock using your own vehicle, then yes, you should be paid for milege, etc.

If you are using your own car $.48/mile. That is the federal govt issued mileage reimbursement. It includes gas and wear and tear on your car. If you are using a company vehicle then you should be paid hourly.
either/or. you should be billing them for the hours first. Billing them for travel is more complicated because you wouldn't bill them based on drive time but you bill them based on gas and mileage. If you always drive your own vehicle u should try to work out a deal with this company for one of the two options.
You have 2 choices: either get paid by mileage (.48 cents a mile) or by the hour. When paid by the hour however, your hourly rate is cut in half, as you aren't working but travelling.
i would want travel time or milage one
