Stupid question but... some vacuums don't get clean really close to the edges?
Question:and leave noticeable dust lines... short of getting a new vacuum, what is the best (as in quickest and fastest) way to get rid of this?
Answers:
If you don't have the tool that allows you to get edges and in between things you can use a damp mop and run it along the edges. Not only will you get stuff off the edges with out getting on your hands and knees but you can clean your baseboards at the same time
Does your vacuum have a hose attachment? If so, use the hose with the crevice tool to suck up the dirt along the baseboards. If you don't have a hose attachment, you might try vacuuming from different angles. Some vacuums have special brushes along one side for edge cleaning.
If either of these is not working and you can't get a new vacuum, you might try using a slightly damp cloth to run along the floor to pick up the dust and dirt that your vacuum leaves behind.
That's what the hose and attachments are for.
Hook up the crevice tool to the hose and do the edges by hand. It's quick and it works.
Use the hand tool. If you don't have one, I'd go buy a little dirt devil. Cheaper than buying a new full sized vacuum.
I usually sweep that stuff out first with a broom. Im tall so I am not fond of the attachments. I have to hunch over and if you have a bad back you are asking for trouble.
that's what the hose is for LOL
get a dirt devil or dustbuster--about $35--it works for me!
