How do I clean my kitchen cupboards?
Question:My kitchen cupboards are white and are starting to tinge yellowish...they are dusty and I want to clean them, but I find they have some sort of oily film on them...(not sure if that's from cooking?) What can I use to clean them and get rid of the film?
Answers:
Dawn dish liquid and hot water...=)
Hot water!
Soap!
Sponge!
But not the scrub side.
That'll take the paint off the cabinets.
:-)
My favorite Dawn and degreasser and if you don't the white back us some soft scruba. Don't scub whip with a towel. When dry use a light furniture oil to get back the shine. The next cleaning will be easier.
Inside the cupboard you can us this mix. This will deodorize:
Mix ΒΌ cup of white vinegar with 1 cup of warm water -- not hot water. Vinegar is a moderate acid. Vinegar is available at your local grocery store or drug store.
Two words- Simple Green. It is sold in Wal-mart, and Home depot, I manage a condo rental complex. I use Simple Green on everything. It cuts grease, removes grime, and best of all, it's non-toxic. The stuff is great!!
take a damp rag spray some clorox clean up on it and wipe the the cabinets.rinse your rag now and then.when finished doing that get a dish pan of hot soapy water and dawn dish soap and wipe them down again. then you could use pledge wipes to get them to shine. they work very well and dont leave a greasy feal behind. this is what works best for me i have pearl white cabinets and they do the same. good luck hope this helps.
