How can I get the grips and glue off of my tub?!?
Question:I live in an apartment and im soon to move out. When i first moved in i almost fell in the shower because it was slippery. I went to walmart and without thinking bought the little flower pattern like sticky grips for the tub. I tried getting them off and its nearly impossible! I got 2 of them off but theres a glue residue. How do i get it off and clean the glue off?

Scrape them with a razor blade, then use comet clenser and a green scrubber.
Try a product called Goo Gone.

You may want to try heating up the glue with a blow dryer first.
The stick ons that are used in tubs and showers use a glue that requires a solvent to help get it off. There are several types and you can pick the one that is most compatible with the tub and shower. If you have an old fashioned ceramic tub, you can use any solvent. These type of tubs have a fired on coating that is very durable. It will scratch though.
My solvent of choice for removing stick on anythings is common gun cleaner. Most of these spray gun cleaners that are available at sporting goods stores, have a solvent called 1,1,1 trichloroethylene. It smells bad, but if you use it in a well ventillated area and don't breath it for prolonged periods, it won't hurt you. Be sure to test this solvent in a inconspicuous spot to make sure the tub isn't made of a plastic that will dissolve from this solvent.
