Question:I made fishsticks for lunch and before, i made sure to put cooking spray on it. before i made them, i made cookies, but before i made the fishsticks, i washed the pan, and then i put another coat of cooking spray on. when i took the fishsticks off, the pan had this sticky stuff all over it. i've washed it with tons of stuff, but it wont come off. is there any way i can get this stuff off?? please help me!

Answers:
Barkeepers Friend or Bon Ami- powder in a can that is meant for cleaning cookware--it is very non-abrasive so it won't scratch your pan.

Soak it in really hot water with a good detergent like Dawn. Or you could use a good degreaser like Greased Lightning. After that, if you have one, put it in your dishwasher the next time you run it.
put it back on the stove and get it hot untill it just starts to smoke, then add some hot water to the pan and let it soak.
oooooohhhhh, I hate that! I would suggest trying the Magic Eraser - it really does work!
It took me awhile to get back to this question because I wasn't even sighed up to this site. Your not going to believe this cause I didn't myself. I was at my friends house and we where sitting in the front room watching TV and getting a buzz on (drinking), what we forgot was that dinner was on the stove. It turned the bottom of the pan into a thick layer of burnt cinder and was bonded on there like hardened epoxy. Well latter I tryed to scrub it till my arm where tiered ans said to Steph (my friend)."Man I'm throwing this pan away." She said "What!?" It was a really nice thick stainless pan I knew it was a high dollar one. She poured automatic dish washing detergent in it, put it on the stove eye and let it cook for awhile, it did even stink either. then she just rinsed it out and wipe the bottom out like nu thin. It looked new again. I couldn't believe it. Try it, it works, promise.
the sticky stuff is the cooking spray.

Mr Clean magic eraser will take off the gunk. But wash the pan well after using the eraser.
