What can I use to clean pewter and make it look brand new again?

Question:I have a pewter fruit holder and I would like it to be shining again. Any ideas?

Answers:
Since pewter is a mix of metals, this is the best way to clean it:

Things You'll Need:
White vinegar
Salt
Flour
Water
Soft cloth

How to Steps:
1. Prepare the mixture by adding a pinch of salt to 1 cup of white vinegar.
2. Next, add flour the the salt and vinegar mixture until a paste forms.
3. Cover your pewter in the vinegar, salt, and flour paste and let stand for 15 minutes.
4. Rinse the pewter with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.

Pewter DOESN'T shine. Wash with dish soap.
