Can i bleach a colored swim suit safely?
Question:i want a white bathing suit, but i can't find a nice one. so i decided to bleach an old one.
Answers:
Sorry, but no. You wouldn't be able to bleach it to turn white. And most bathing suits are made of synthetic fibers such as spandex which cannot be bleached. A non-chlorine or color safe bleach won't remove color, it is just a stain remover and fabric brightener.
Dyes won't bleach to white.
It's impossible to bleach all the color out of a commercially dyed fabric without destroying the fabric. Also, all of the elastic components of a bathing suit (including the spandex in the fabric itself) will degrade badly when exposed to bleach.
Sorry! Good luck shopping!
yes use a nonchlorin bleach safe for whites and colors.
No, chlorine bleach will ruin the fabric
If you use bleach on any colors they will get white spots. But you can buy color safe bleach.
