How can I clean up my house and get me family to help too?

Planning is #1. Set a date (many weeks from now), and tell everybody what your plan is. If you say, "Ok folks. Tomorrow we're going to clean the house," maybe they already have other plans for tomorrow. Remind them often that "we're going to clean the house on mm/dd/yyyy, and there will be no playing on that date." On the other hand, if you have small children (less than 10yrs old), you might want to make this a fun time by telling your children that you'll be playing home cleanup. "Simon says, take out the trash..." :-)
Buy all the cleaning supplies. Make sure that you have empty boxes, so if you run out of space, you can put things that you rarely use into boxes. And label them too. :)

Well if you have children you can start by giving them allowance just a small incentive will work and you will have to assign them certain duties, older people such as adults and teenagers can be told to keep their messes cleaned up and provide cleaning solutions close by so they will be more eager to clean up after themselves, it should also build some morale with this method, I provide cleaning utensils and cleaners such as those disinfecting wipes, sponges with cleaners or white vinegar on them, all they have to do is add a little water to the cloth or sponge then just wipe, it is better than not having been wiped down even if it is done very little by them, my attitude a little goes along way and better than nothing and your house will always be clean for when unexpected company comes by and you won't have to scramble to do it before they see it, this way it looks half way decent, this is all how I get my family to participate in cleaning around the house.
