How do I get the bottom of my shower door clean without ruining the silver?
Question:I have a stand-up shower and want to clean the bottom of it because there is what I think is calcium buildup. I want to get it cleaned, but do not want to ruin the silver coloring by scrubbing or using something too abrasive. Any suggestions?

lime a way
Try CLR.
Try seeking an organic alternative, vinegar for example.
believe it or not. make you a paste with baking soda. wet your shower glass and then put the past on. let it sit for 30 minutes make sure it stays moist. it will take the residue right off. i worked for a professional baker and that was how we cleaned hard water stains off the coffee pots. i then did it when i cleaned houses on the customers showers and they loved how clean they came out. you are the first i shared this with. you will have to figure out how long to leave it sit on the shower glass. it all depends on how thick the hard water stain is. have patience it may take you several times to clean it in a day to get it all off. it will not scratch the metal at all and you won't need to scrub. you may want to clean your shower after use with the paste to maintain your shinny clean glass.
CLR -- it's a calcium, lime remover, and it works really great for that kind of thing. You can get it at most supermarkets on the cleaning aisle. It comes in a silver/gray jug with big letters C L R on it. Pour a bit of it over the area you want to clean, let it set for a minute or two and use an old toothbrush to scrub it. You may need to repeat the process if it is particularly thick, but it should remove the buildup nicely.
i use sbrubby bubbles, works good for me and i dont see any damage, oh also i use a toilet bowl brush to wash the shower with.
Spray and Wash laundry Cleaner and old dryer sheets. Do a good cleading, then spray it down with spray and wash, the class also. Then everytime you clean do this, the spray and wash will stop soap scum from building up completly, then it's an easy job the next time. Great for Showers with glass doors, they will look like new.
