Is anyone else surprised by the amount of washing generated by a couple with no kids?
Question:I can't believe how much time I spend doing washing! god help when we have kids....

We are a house of Two Adults and One Small Child. We have to do a full load of washing every day and some weeks I try to do 2 or 3 loads in one day. I'm not surprised because my husband has a uniform and his normal clothes and I have to change my clothes everyday else I just don't feel clean. One day I believe it might get easier. We don't have a dryer so it's the drying the clothes that bugs me specially with all this rain at the moment.
Im the same and there is only two of us too. Its rediculous.
Know the feeling. I put on two washes every day.
It is HIM! But at least he is clean!
Well, I live in a house hold of 3 kids 2 adults and the washing loads are incredible!!
Dont even start me on the topic!
We have to do laundry every day or every other day!
Trust me - laundrey for a couple of no kids would be like a vacation in my house!!
But most of that is from the kids only.
The adults take up less then 1/4th of all the laundrey.
I fail to see how this would be a large load, but if you grew up an only child that could explain it. I'm not very shure!

AAHHH!! yes..i know what you mean. i think the laundry triples from being single to coupled..maybe coz their clothes are bigger? when we have kids i'm wearing everything twice..or threee times...haha, j/k.
there is only three of us,and its that we are all nice and clean and like to change regularly do not worry it will all work out when they come along keep to a routine and you will be OK.

I live by myself, my cat, and I do a large load once every week.
I suppose that if I stopped wearing clean underwear and shirts every day then I could lessen the load.
Every two weeks I do my sheets and towels.
I also run chair covers through the dryer for 15 minutes to get rid of cat hair.

oh gosh yes!! i think the same sometimes (how will i cope when kids join our family?!) its crazy!
No... There's just me and my husband. I work with horses and he owns his own remodeling company. I do maybe 2 loads a day. Thank you for front-loading washers! Less water and soap.
Me too! It's mostly becuase my husband throws everything on the floor, clean or not, and then it GETS dirty from dogs usually. It's his fault.
yes just wait till you have kids. Its a nightmare. I'm sure it breeds over night.
