Question:spilled sauce on it!

i tried to remove the stain by pointing to it so my dog would lick it off but then it was still there. oh snap. and then i tried rubbing it with a wet paper towel. it didn't work! so i just flipped the cousin over and nobody saw anything. So now that i got it covered how to i get the stain out? or do i just be like i didn't do it! maybe you should take it back to the store? haha
thanks please!
Answers:
Pet urine works well. Get your dog to urinate on the spot and air dry
You can try using a damp towel, not paper towel, with a little bit of soap on it and rub it. There are also special sprays that would work that you can buy at like rite aid. The towel should work though.
You best get that cleaned ASAP, before it gets a chance to set any further. The sofa will have tags somewhere that will state what cleaning method is best. Don't assume soap and water will be the best method as you might damage the fabric. Here are the major fabric codes used:
W--Use Water-Based Cleaner. Spot clean this fabric
with the foam only of a water-based cleaning agent such
as a mild detergent or commercial upholstery shampoo.
Use sparingly. Avoid overwetting.
S--Use Solvent Cleaner. Spot clean this fabric with a
mild water-free dry-cleaning solvent available in local
stores. Use sparingly in a well-ventilated room with no
sparks or flame in the room.
CAUTION: Use of water-based solvent cleaners may
cause spotting and/or excessive shrinking. Solvent
cleaning agents will not remove water stains.
S-W--Use Water-Based or Solvent Cleaner. Spot clean
this fabric with a dry-cleaning solvent, mild detergent
foam or upholstery shampoo, depending on the stain.
X--Vacuum Only. Clean this fabric only by vacuuming
or light brushing to prevent accumulation of dust and
grime. Water-based foam or solvent-based cleaning agents
of any kind may cause excessive shrinking, fading or
spotting.
Depends on the sauce. Whatever cleanser, use a damp cloth and blot by pressing (not rub) the stain. Good luck.
I think you should just tell your mum. accidents happen, This way the couch can be steam cleaned straight away. Also no point in putting the blame on your dog, Unless your dog has it´s dinner on the couch ,whilst watching TV.
If it fresh Just use club soda and salt. or if its set in use vingar mixed with listorine. and rub with a towl.
