use elmers cement bonder spread it over the table let it dry mix up thinset spread that over the table place tiles on that before it dries use spacers to keep your grought lines straight let that dry overnight gruot it put a trim piece around the end of the table as high as the finished tile do the trim board first that will giveyou a boarder to start with
