Answers:
I spray it off with water and then sprinkle some baking soda on it, so it makes a paste. Then use half a lemon to scrub it. Wash it as ususal. If I don't have lemon, I make a paste of baking soda, dish soap and water. Apply it and let it sit for about 5 minutes, then scrub it and rinse it.
lemon juice
try rubbing it with lemon juice and salt
lemon juice
whatever you do, don't put it in the dishwasher. it will warp the wood and it will be ruined. been there, done that.
run it thru the dishwasher
try scrubbing it with half a lemon - work the juice in... that removes onion smell from hands - may work for the cutting board.
get it good and soaked, then make a paste of baking soda and water and smear it on.next day run it through the dishwasher
Hello, if you do not have any problem with the bleech, I would use a cloth soaked with the bleech and rub the cutting board gently and leave it on for few minutes or longer. It should resolve your problem. It would also disinfect your cutting board.
Good Luck
i would say let it soak into some bleach water and let the water be hot and it would take the smell out very quickly
any citrus fruit works well for that. Just cut in half an orange, lime, lemon, whatever you have laying around and rub alll over the board and let it sit for at least an hour before washing it normally. It also works for pizza stones.
First scrub it with lemon juice and dish soap. After that make a paste of baking soda and water and smooth it all over the board and let it set over night. This should "pull out" any lingering smell left. Wash with hot soapy water and rinse. Should be good as new!
