My daughter smeared chewing gum all over the business side of a CD from the library. How do you remove that?!?
Question:
Answers:
Try rubbing alchohol.
Gum should not be that difficult to remove. Wether the gum is on the side the CD Player reads, or the other side where the CD has been pressed, you can let the CD sit in a bowl of warm (not boiling hot) water. It should soften the gum up to where you can remove it with your fingers or with a tissue (even if the gum has dried).
Make sure that the water has made the gum soft enough (if it is on the pressed side), or else if you try to remove the gum, it may take some of the sticker off and it will ruin the CD.
Good luck
Maybe put it in the freezer and let it get hard and hopefully it will kinda crack off? I don't know.tough one....
There are Two Nice Ways I can think about
1. Put That CD in The Freezer for some time, The Chewing Gum will Freeze and then you can tear it off easily.!
2. Use Some white Spirit , Put two Three Drops on A Soft Cloth and Just Rub Against that Spot,,,,,,,, It should Help,,,,,,,!
Best Of Luck
Place in freezer chamber overnite, try to lever off with a knife it should work OK failing that buy a new CD
rubbing alcohol
Put cd in the freezer. It will harden chewing gum, and carefully break it off.Otherwise just apologise to the library. Good Luck!
pop it into the freezer for the night should come of easily
