That's what you need to use bleach. Make a light mixture so it doesn't hurt your carpet a couple of tablespoons in a gallon is enough to kill the germs. Use very hot water also and a little laundry detergent with it that should work for you.
I would simply shampoo the carpet then spray the area with a little disinfectant, such as lysol spray.
bleach will kill your yard! parvo is a virus. hose all the feces down and give it 2 or 3 months, the parvo cant survive without a host. ditch the carpet and make shure of those shots next time. i have experienced this and it is very painful,SORRY.
You can shampoo the carpet with laundy detergent with bleach in it. True it might make it a little lighter. If you are going to put in the wood floor right away then you could do that but if not then just shampoo it.
This guy that says you dont need bleach is wrong-I lost a dog to parvo after 18months because they didnt use bleach so if you want to have a dog you really must use the bleach!!
Sorry for your loss. My sister's pup died of parvo. Sears can hot steam clean your carpet. Parvo supposedly dies if the temp is over 50*C.
i would pull it up..u can also ask ur vet for ideas..sorry for u loss.
No need to pull the carpet up, have it steam cleaned, But if you are going to have new flooring and you would feel better having the carpet taken out then do so . Just put rug“s down on the floor, but steam clean will be fine
Ask a vet what would be the best thing to use they might have the stuff you need.
