How do I get 'old man' smell out of my antique dresser drawers?

Question:I inherited a beautiful dresser from my grandpa. The drawers don't smell when I snif them, but when I put my clothes in them, they come out smelling just like him! I miss him terribly, so at first I found this comforting. Now I just want the smell gone!

Answers:
put charcoal brickets in drawers for about a week. will absorb all smells. i did it to some furniture

Use dryer sheets in there after you spray it with febreeze or oust
Use anyi stat sheets, as used in clothes driers. It works to absorb odors and smell fresh.
Works in shoes too.
try getting an orange and some fresh cloves stick the cloves in the orange place the whole thing in the drawers for 24 hours
A bag of potpourri would work. Go to Bed, Bath and Beyond or maybe even Victoria's Secret.
I can suggest this. Remove the drawers& leave them outside in the fresh air for the day, first wash inside with a little cold water and vinegar using a sponge. Then line the drawers with perfumed paper of your choise
An unwrapped bar of soap will usually do the trick - I like lily of the valley or plumeria.
