How to re- fluff my carpet??
Question:I don't want to pay to have cleaners come in and do it. I just want my old soft fluffy carpet back. We've lived here a year and I vaccum and use our 'steam' cleaner you know that uses hot water and cleaner all the time but the heavy traffic areas are all matted down and darker still. How do I get my carpet back? Re-fluff it so to say? And also anything else I can do about the high traffic areas being darker dispite my efforts to keep them clean? Thanks so much!

go to wal mart or kmart. In the broom section they have a broom handle on a plastic piece with little 1 inch fingers that point down and you rake the nape of the carpet back up with this. then vaccum again in the direction to roll the nape of the carpet away from the falling down side.
Agree with previous answer. You need a carpet rake. You literally rake the carpet. Incredible difference. Good luck!
