How do i kill maggots in my garage?
Question:I have poured gallons of bleach on the maggots in the garage, I have cleaned it out and washed it out with water, and the next day I got back into my garage and there are hundreds of them everywhere again. This is on top of double checking that my garbage can is tightly closed.

I can suggest this. If you can remove as many things in your garage so you can see where they are coming from. It could be a dead animal, mouse or some other kind of animal that has died. So as soon as you find out the where abouts, best to sweep them up and throw them in the garden for the birds to eat, then pour acid around the area they have come from. be very careful , use gloves and a face mask and something to protect your eyes. This will rid the problem
Call the garbage people to remove the garbage.
The best way to kill them, if you are hell-bent on destroying them, is to pour some lighter fluid on the garbage and burn them all.
Don't use gasoline. That's too dangerous.
Good luck in your personal fight against the maggot population. I've been there. Controlled fire works well.
At this stage it might be best to get a new garbage can.
Moth balls, but mind the pets and kiddies don't eat them.
There has to be a dead animal some where in your garage. I would check the ceiling also because the may have fallen from your ceiling.
remove their food source
I'm a manager of an apartment and I have always used alcohol to kill the maggots that appear only in the three summer months outside the dumpster (pour the alcohol on the maggots and light a fire). It's not very effective, but at least I've controlled them. Otherwise, they would become a small hill of about 1.5 inches high in the dumpster cell. Their sight both in life and death is disgusting. The most important thing is all the tenants to seal their trash bags so that flies can't fly in and lay their eggs. I've thought of using some hungry chickens to eat the maggots but have never tried it. Who in their right mind would eat the chickens fed by maggots?
pour gas on then that will take care of them.
