Is it ok to use 409 and comet with bleach together?

Question:I know you're not supposed to use amonia and bleach together but i'm not too sure if its ok to use 409 and Comet with bleach in it together to clean my tub?

Answers:
According to the Material Safety Data Sheet for Comet with Bleach, "Do not mix with other cleaning products as irritating fumes may be released."

I wouldn't mix the two. Use either the 409 or the comet w/bleach, not both.

I wouldn't use 2 different types of cleansers together to clean the tub. Use one and completely rinse the tub and run plenty of water down the drain before using the other.
I would be scared of what kind of fumes would develop and what would happen if I inhaled them. I can't see anything wrong with using comet first, rinsing clean and then using bleach if necessary. However, if you want the bleach effect...buy Comet w/bleach. That way you know the combination is safe. I think using 409 too would basically be over kill.
