Does hair spray takeout blue majic marker on bed sheets?
Question:as many were helpfull n said yes to hair spray removing ink ,however i wasnt clear enough as it was felt tip magic marker that left open made a 3 inch circle thru n thru on bed sheeet n fittted sheet . am i wasting my time n effort on theses expensive sheeets being cleanded by hair spray .again ,forgive me all as my ra arthritis painsme

Use lighter fluid... You need nothing else. My little sister decided she would wash all of our clothes one day. Too make along story short, Ink everywhere.. Lighter Fluid was the only thing that got rid of it all... Spray a generous amount, let sit for an hour or so and it should be good to go.
The reason hairspray works to remove ink is not the hairspray, it is the alcohol in the hairspray. Pour the rubbing alcohol unto the stain, then blot with a dry towel. I don't think it will remove all the ink, but it should lighten the stain enough to bleach it out. I know, you hate to use bleach, but what have you got to lose at this point? So after the rubbing alcohol, add bleach to the wash water, let the washer fill completely and start agitating before you add your sheets so as not to get blotches. That way if the sheets fade, they will fade evenly and still be usable. Good Luck.
Go to walmart and get some super clean... often found in the automotive dept. it disolves the marker.. You can almost see it working the moment you put it on. also good on anything greasy. but never leave it on painted surfaces...it will lift the paint...but it works great on sheets. My great niece took a turquise marker to bed with her, unknown to her mom and she got it all over the bedding. I sprayed it and it all came out .
