I can never seem to keep my room clean. What is the best way to keep a clean room?

Question:I do a good job cleaning it really nice but then it just gets really messy again before I know it. What can I do about this!

Answers:
The old adage, "A place for everything, and everything in its place" is the best advice.

First, get rid of excess stuff. The more stuff you have, the more it owns and controls you.

Second, have enough storage for your possessions.

Third, keep everything where it belongs.

If you use or move something, put it back when you're done with it. Don't lay something down in a temporary place, because it will clutter your room and then it will be harder to organize everything and put it back where it belongs. When you generate trash, put it in the trash can right there and then.

Spend a little time each day cleaning. You can dust one day, vacuum another day, do laundry a third day, take out trash a fourth day, etc.

Ummm, clean?
clean it and everytime you go in and do something put it away... or clean it once and never go in it. or clean it everyday..
Get in the habit of picking up as you mess up. Make sure everything has it's place and always put it back there when your done with it. Keep a clothes hamper in your room for soiled clothing and make sure you use it! Always take your dishes etc back to the kitchen every night before you get ready for bed. That way, you always wake up to a clean room and know where all your stuff is.
Make it a habit to return everything to its place when you are through with it. Never go to bed with a messy room.
after using something put back in its place and you wont have to pick it up when you clean up.
cluttter is never good. when something falls on the floor, pick it up. put your dirty clothes in a bag and tie it up so the smell isn't too bad. mop and sweep frequently or vacuum and keep things in order. do this everyday and you won't have to live up to your neck in filth.
clean room ?
it's an oxymoron.
&& it's overrated.
don't waste your time.
=)
You have to be very organized. Each thing needs a home. You need a specific place for laundry, for papers, your wallet, keys, etc. You have to train yourself to put it back in the same exact spot each time. You can get some organization bins or even some baskets to hold stuff. Make sure you have a trash can in your room that is big enough to actually hold stuff, but not as big as a kitchen garbage can. Strategically place it so that it is easily accessible, but not gaudy. If you can't get to it, you cannot effectively use it. Organization is the key!
try swtiching around the order of the room...depending on how muhc open space u have in ur room ull be able to keep it clean...rearrange it so that u have alot of space at ur doorway...good luck!
Hire a house keeper
Make it a point to get organized, once you start and continue it will become a natural thing. Force yourself to keep it up for a week and then it will become second nature
put things back when your done using them
make sure clean clothes go where they go
dirty clothes go where they go
and make your bed
this takes about 10 minutes from you day

Have Fun
Organize for the mess!! Now I put my hampers in the closet so my dirty clothes are out of the way.with my old room, I used to keep the laundry baskets under the bed to collect dirty clothes. Make sure you have a garbage bin handy to collect garbage close to where it accumulates...mine is beside the nightstand and the bed where I watch tv at night. Because I like it I sleep with a fitted sheet and a comforter--no top sheet.sheet doesnt get uncomfortable, bed is easy to make...just straighten comforter, I have a duster upstairs in my closet to give everything a quick swipe between good cleanings. Good luck!!
