Cleaning a stainless steel refrigerator?
Question:Okay.I was cleaning my s.s. fridge last week and now it looks like CRAP! :( Someone told me that I could use glass cleaner on it and I did---Bad idea. :(
There were so many fingerprints (I have 4 kids) and also water drippings (it has a water/ice dispenser that goes everywhere when you use it) all over the front that I started spraying generic (Wal*Mart brand) Glass Plus on a paper towel and then wiping it.
Well, one of the kids started talking to me, I became distracted and I sprayed the glass cleaner DIRECTLY on the fridge in 2 spots! Now, you can see the 'starburst' pattern from the sprays and also where the cleaner ran down the door.. Ugh! It looks awful!!
I have tried using vinegar, dish soap and water, glass cleaner again---This time ONLY on the paper towel..But, to NO AVAIL.
Is my fridge going to look like this forever? Or is there hope?
Thanks in advance,
Karen

You can also use baby oil or wd-40. I use wd-40 in the appliances dept. at Bestbuy it works great. Just spray some on a clean rag and wipe down the entire refridgerator making sure to get every inch. Be careful not to spray too much or it will look quite shiny and greasy. It only requires a little.

Yes! I know something that cleans stainless steel great!
It's called Holy Cow, and it about two bucks at WalMart. It comes in a spray bottle (get the pink one for SS, not the blue)
I do clean mine ss fridge only with glass cleaner, but instead of using paper towels I use clean, dry cloth.
Method has a great stainless steel cleaner. They sell it at the Target near us, but I also know you can buy it directly. I love their products and the packaging is also very cool.

alright i clean alot on my truck alot of chrome and stainless i would say to try some "never dull" cotton wading on it it works on alot of metals if your not sure try it in an unobviouse place first
Use an oil based product and a dry cloth (an old tea towel is perfect), spray on the cloth and wipe in ONE direction only, starting from the bottom. It'll look good as new. Good luck keeping it looking that way with 4 kids!
The best thing for cleaning stainless steel is baby oil on a lint free cloth rub in and buff off.
