How to Remove Urine Stains From:
Acetate, Carpet (synthetic or wool),
Fiberglass, Rayon, Silk, Triacetate, Wool
Sponge (the method of using a dampened pad to apply light strokes, moving outward from the center of the stain) the area with water or club soda immediately to dilute the stain. Apply a wet spotter and a few drops of ammonia. (Do not use ammonia on silk or wool.) Cover with an absorbent pad moistened with wet spotter. Let it stand as long as any stain is being removed. Change the pad as it picks up the stain. Keep both the pad and stain moist with wet spotter and ammonia. Flush (the method of applying stain remover to loosen staining material and residue from stain removers) with water, then apply wet spotter with a few drops of white vinegar. Flush well with water and repeat if necessary. Allow to dry. On carpets, after following these procedures, apply Stain-X Carpet Stain Remover, Up & Out (not for wool carpets), or Afta Carpet Stain Remover.
How to Remove Urine Stains From:
Acrylic Fabric, Cotton, Linen, Modacrylic,
Nylon, Olefin, Polyester, Spandex
Flush immediately with water or club soda. Soak the stain in a solution of 1 quart warm water, 1/2 teaspoon liquid detergent, and 1 tablespoon ammonia for 30 minutes. Rinse well with water. If stain persists, soak in a solution of 1 quart warm water and 1 tablespoon white vinegar for 1 hour. (Use white vinegar with care on cotton and linen.) Rinse well and allow to dry. If stain is set, try applying rubbing alcohol to the area and tamping (the method of bringing a brush down with light strokes on stained durable fabrics and materials). Do not apply full-strength rubbing alcohol to acrylic or modacrylic--dilute with 2 parts water. As stain loosens, blot the liquid and stain with an absorbent pad. Keep both the stain and pad moist with alcohol and change the pad as it picks up the stain. Allow to dry.
How to Remove Urine Stains From:
Leather, Suede
Blot up the excess. Mix a solution of mild soap in lukewarm water. Swish to create a great volume of suds. Apply only the foam with a sponge. Rinse well with a clean damp cloth and wipe dry. For leather only, condition with Tannery Vintage Leather Cleaner & Conditioner or Fiebing's Saddle Soap
Dampen the affected area, but do not saturate it. Wetness spreads the urine.
Heavily sprinkle with borax like a shaker would; cover the whole area.
Rub borax into the mattress. Work borax into spill or stain well.
Vacuum up the powder.
Allow to dry in sunshine if possible or well-ventilated area away from dampness.
Return mattress to the bed when it is completely dry.
***Borax is anhydrous and toxic so wash your hands with lots of soap and water and do not rub your eyes or touch your face.
Also you can try to use a urine removal cleanser like Urine Erase Stain and Odor Remover.Follow the directions .
Urine-Erase is an enzyme based product that is guaranteed to remove urine stains and odor, regardless of age (even 30 year-old set stains)! This unique product works on mattresses, upholstery, leather, carpets, drapes, floors (wood, cement, terrazzo), walls, kennels, etc. Manufactured since 1978, you won't find a better product that will eliminate urine odors and stains.
Urine-Erase uses a two-step process. First, a dry enzyme powder is mixed with water. This solution is poured onto the surface and breaks down urine so it will react with the bottle of solution (gentle peroxide) that is applied approximately 8 hours after the enzyme. Stains and odors disappear within hours after the second step. A reaction takes place to break down the urine into water and oxygen. Use of Urine-Erase is ideal where indoor air quality is of concern.
Better Than One-Step Systems: Bacteria feeding on urine cause odor. Many one step products will destroy or neutralize bacteria but bacteria will return to the urine and the problem reoccurs. Most products will treat only the odor - not the stain. Urine-Erase attacks the urine in 2 steps and changes it into an evaporable gas of water and oxygen. Completely and permanently gone. (Note: physically damaged or bleached fabric cannot be repaired by any product.)
How it Works: Urine-Erase is an enzyme based formula developed to break down and eliminate urine (human, cat or dog) from washable fabrics, mattresses and carpets. Simply pour on and allow the solution to follow the same exact path as the urine did originally. You need to apply a volume of Urine-Erase in an amount equal to the urine. Each bottle contains 16 ounces. Always test any stain remover on an inconspicuous location first before using.
I hope this was helpful,Take Care! :)
remove the cover from the cushion and steam both, then make a rule: no more drunken parties. your home is to expensive to let some yahoo come along and destroy it.
I use vinegar to clean up after my dog and cats. Soak the area with white vinegar, then DAB up the wet vinegar spot with clean rags until it's almost dry.
i use a produce called stix works great
you need to rid the stuff by taking off the cover and run water through the spot being careful not to let it spread to other areas. Than take the pad outside or use shower or faucet to rinse the area being sure the contamination runs away from the cushion and doesn't infect more of the cushion.
Than let completely air dry after removing as much of the water with a towel.
And you can use white vinegar before a final rinse.
Use oxi gel and mix some bleech in the hot water. and soak it, then rub really good, rinse after sometime. Just make sure, Couch color is fast. You can try some on the back side of a cushion. It worked for me.
First of all rub his nose in it and throw him out the door.
Take the cushion apart and wash it if you can or use upholstery cleaner. Resolve has one that should work
Oh hell no.
First remove cover and shove in his face if he ever shows up again. If he passes out again, pee on his car seat while he is out. I would not let him live that one down.
As far as the cover try the vinegar or dry cleaners.
