Is there a way I can get my T-Shirts and Tank-Tops to fit the way they did when I first purchased them?
Question:As with most people, over the years some of my favorite T-shirts and Tank-tops have gotten stretched out, and don't fit me like they use to. Anyone know of any way I can restore them to the original way they fit, just like when they were brand new? Thanks in advance to anyone that answers. I'll give the 10 points to the person whose remedy works the best!
Answers:
not sure a/b hot water in the wash machine, but if the clothes are cotton dry in the dryer. all-though it only really shrinks alittle and only during the first time you dry it.
check labels too...100% cotton shrinks...sometimes clothes are pre-washed so they probably won't shrink.
put them on high heat in the dryer after you wash them that's the only thing I know will shrink your clothes
Try putting them on while you are hanging upside-down in front of a mirror.Mirror so you can take a picture of yourself.
Yes two ways.
1. Use body shaper boards which stretch the shirt and help
maintain it's original shape.
2. Lose weight and firm yourself up. Over time you may have
grownup and/or gained weight.
Wash as usual then dry on high heat. Fold them immediately and let them cool. Be careful not to stretch them when you are folding. Don't hang them up because that will stretch them.
If they're stretched out, you can sometimes shrink them up by drying them on high heat.
if you have a clothes line this will make this task easier!
wash you shirts by hand and hang to drip dry on the line the weight of the water will pull all the fibres tighter .
Use woolite. You will love it. Also, you may want to skip the dryer and try to hang your tops.
wash them in really hot water, then dry them on the hottest setting, i wear a lot of tanks and have the same problem, works for me
if you have a sewing machine you can sew in the sides of the t-shirts. But, usually (and in the future you might want to use this idea) when I find some item of clothing that I really like I buy two of them. I use the one till it stretches, gets discolored or gets a stain on it (which is about 6 years or more) and then I use the second one for another 6 or more years.
