Easy up pools-How do I keep the water clear and clean.?
Question:I have a 18'x48" easy up pool and I'm having trouble keeping the water clear.I have the water tested every couple of weeks and the chemicals levels are fine.I scoop out any leaves or bugs everyday,I run the filtre aprox.6 hours a day,I hose out the filtre every second day or so and change to a new one every 2 weeks.I also use the vaccum attachment ( that came with my last easy up pool) . But I find that there is still a lot of settlement at the bottom of the pool. Any ideas on how to get rid of the settlement?What else besides a cotton bag or a pantyhose can I use on the vaccum attachment that would catch more of this stuff? HELP.

a) A pool is a lot of work!
b) You might try hiring a pro for a short period and watch what they do ... then take over as soon as you see what you are doing wrong.
c) You must try to determine where the settlement is coming from and reduce the source. Sometimes a better fence around the pool helps.
d) I find that the best way to REALLY CLEAN the bottom is to use a siphon. You will waste some water but everything that gets sucked out is never coming back. Turn off the yard sprinklers and siphon instead!
We had an easy set pool and had the same problem , the pool store told me the filters wasnt big enough for the amount of water. If you are willing to spend the money buy a bigger filter maybe try a sand filter
does your pool vac hook up to the water hose or to the skimmer on your pool which would be the suction. when you vacuum you should move very slowly across the bottom of your pool so you do not stir up the dirt. u can only get a mesh bag that catches average size particles. u cant get any smaller than the ole panty hose trick. maybe if you double or triple the panty hose over the end of the pool vac.if you use the pool pump suction you would get better affect than just a pool vac used with a water hose, if that is the type u have.
