Can I use sponge mop when using Murphy's oil soap on our hardwood floors?

Question:

Answers:
yeah... as long as u squeeze the mop real well. ..

I dont think so but I know you can use a rag or a wash cloth. and rags and washcloths work great on any wood thing like wood walls and stairs with murphy's oil on it!!
why not?
without a big long answer YES YOU CAN (great product)
Yes. I use a regular mop and then go over it with a dust mop. We have inside dogs and thats the only way to get up the hair from them.
NO! A sponge mop is made of cellulose which will degrade in oil and cause streaking of the floor. Murphy's needs to be spread with a soft cotton lint free rag. Old diapers or T-shirts work very good. You can cover your mop head with it and have the finish you want and the ease of standing up to do the job.
on wood floors, Id get down and hand mop with like a cut in half old bath towel.. Murphys oil soap is good. you can kinda dry as you go. thats important, not too wet
A sponge mop will work fine for an application of Murphy's oil soap - - make sure it is a cheap one so you can throw it after you completed your application. Wipe off excess with old towel. Now you can dust the floors with your floor duster & floor duster sprays.
I think a sponge mop is better in fact..however..get a spongemop used exclusively for this..do not use it for other applications you will be mixing traces of dirt and other contaminants with your floor wax...use a seperate sponge mop
