A Green effective way to remove pet stains?

Question:I have an older pet who sometimes loses their bladder on my carpeting. I also have 2 small children and do not want to put a lot of chemicals down. Is there a "green" or effective way to get the stain and smell out short of removing all of the carpeting in my house

Answers:
We have used Oxyclean for this purpose before. It works very well. It's not toxic or harmful to the environment, and it's extremely effective at removing all visible traces of the stain. The amount of smell left after cleaning will depend on how much of the stain is spread onto the carpet pad (which is hard for any stain cleaner to penetrate). Good luck!
