Could anyone out there tell me how to rid off the smell from an electric plastic ware kettle?

Try putting 2 cups of water and 1 cup of vinegar and bring to a boil, and then let it sit until cold. Pour it out and now clean as usual.
I agree with Lennie, he has the right idea and use that method myself to clean my kettle every now and then. Good Luck !
Vinegar is the answer..in usa we run it through or electric coffee makers as well
