Can I put cushion covers from my microsuede sofa in the washing machine?

Question:Here's what happened:

Cat pees on microsuede sofa seat cushions.
I unzip covers, remove them from cushions and douse stained area in Nature's Miracle.
Nature's Miracle leaves an even more noticeable mark/stain than the cat pee.
Now I'm stuck with stained covers and I haven't had cushions on my couch for more than a week. My butt is getting tired of sitting on the floor. How can I clean the covers? Can I completely immerse them in water? Put them in the washing machine? Anyone have experience?

Answers:
No! Take it to the dry cleaners.

They will turn colors if you wash them. They will also wear more.
What do you have to lose, right? Turn the seat covers inside out and wash them in cold water on a gentle or hand washable cycle. Maybe let them soak in the machine if your machine has that option. Throw some baking soda in the water to help rid the stains/smells. Baking soda is mild and may help preserve the material. If you have a dryer that has an air fluff only cycle, do that after the wash, otherwise let them air dry. No heat! You may have a hard time getting the covers back on the cushions so stick with cold water/ gentle/hand washable cycle and air dry or fluff.

Good Luck!
Turn the covers inside out - look for a label or a maker's name.

The label might carry cleaning instructions.

If not, the name will give you a starting point for some real advice. Call the makers or their agents and give them your problem to solve.

Good luck
I have microsuede furniture and was told the only way to clean them is with distilled water. Although - if they are stained you probably cannot damage them too much more by washing them. I would soak in distilled water first and see what happens. After that - I would contact the manufacturer to see if they have any recommendations.

Good luck!
When we got our living room set, we were told the manufacturer suggested best way to clean the microsuede was with windex. Try it. It has gotten out every stain we ever got on our furniture. (But I didn't have an animal peeing on it.)
Try washing them inside out, delicate cycle, cold water.

Make sure that you zip up the zippers before washing!!!!!

Fluff in the dryer and then line dry. I hope it works for you ..good luck!
I have 2 kids ages 2 and 4, i have a lot of stains!! I also have 2 dogs, one being a puppy who pees every where. I wash my cushions in the washer on warm and if you have the option wash them on delicates or hand wash. Let them air dry on a clothes line if possible and then put in dryer to air fluff. That should get most if not all the stains out.
