I spilled water into the lint trap of my dryer? I immediately unplugged. Is it ok to plug in & use when dry?

Question:Is it ok to plug it back in and use it? What other damage could it cause? Any help is appreciated.

Answers:
Yes ,it will be ok to use your dryer! unless it was a lot of water( 1 gallon ) or more you dont even need to let it dry out!

Yes
It's a dryer and it's ok to turn it back on. Water in the lint trap is not a problem. I work on them for a living and I have seen dryers running in three inches of water in a flooded basement. .
