HELP!! I have spiders in my apartment?
Question:Okay so I am having a nice quiet evening sitting on my couch in my pajamas when all the sudden I feel something crawling up my leg on to my back. I figured I was imagining things and then I look back and see a icky looking hairy spider on my back. I of course almost had a heart attack and started jumping around. So I get it off me and squish it on the floor. Then, as I am bringing dead spider #1 outside, I see another one (same kind) right by the door. So I squish him too and then. I see my cat chasing after something across the room. Yes. another spider! THREE! Within ten seconds of each other. I think I have and infestation, and I can't even sit here without feeling imaginary spiders all over me!!!! Any tips? I have a cat so anything that I get has to be pet friendly. I am seriously about to try to get out of this stupid lease and move someplace on a very high floor (I am on the first floor btw)

Can you get a frog? If so, get a frog, it sounds funny, but it will get rid of the spiders and any other bugs in the apartment. Hubby and I have an unfinished basement and we would get tons of spiders and other bugs in there and we put a frog down there and he eats them all up, which means none in the house. Try it if you can.
Get a Border Collie.
Fumigate.
hire a fumigating service it will get rid of the spiders in no time
Sounds like you have a landlord. I would call him/her immediately and let them know your concern. They should foot the bill to send in a spiderminator.
i totally agree, the apartment manager should get Terminex to come and spray for them, but for a temporary fix, if you have some WD40 you can spray it all around the edges of doors and windows, it kinda stinks and wont hurt cats or dogs, hehe they usually smell it and leave it alone cause it stinks, but the WD40 kills most spiders, i have had spider trouble in my apartment here, i'm allergic to spiders and all sorts of bee's, wasps, etc.. one time years ago i had run out of bug spray and a wasp came in the house i was scared to get close enough to it to hit it with a fly swatter so i went through the different sprays i had, come to find out i was low or out of everthing, but had some wd40 so i sprayed it with that and it killed it, later when i had spider trouble i used it for that too,
with tiny house spiders i was surprised to find out hair spray kills them, that time i couldn't find my wd40 and all i had was the hair spray, ( the wd40 was in the car)
anyway its best to get the pest control people to spray the whole apartment, around all doors and windows, in all closets behind couches - they love dark places and corners.
as for the cat , you said was chasing a spider, if it bites / stings the cat , it could make it sick,
if you have a pet carrier to put the cat in while the pest spray is being done and dries, would be a good idea too,,
