How do I reduce junks in my apartment? Any advices?
Question:
Answers:
Get three boxes. Label one "trash", the other "sell" and the other "keep".
Divide up the "junk" by each of those categories and then follow through with trashing, keeping or selling the items.
How much you keep might be determined by the amount of space you have.
For the ones you want to keep, divide them into categories, using boxes labelled with each category and create storage boxes, crates, etc based on the size needed for the item.
It also might be helpful to get a labeler so you can label the containers.
go and pick out the things that you do not need on a regular basis and then see which of those items can be gotten rid of the have a rummage sale or take then to the salvation army. then organnize you remaining things by how often you need then and store others things away in storage containers under the bed or in closet
decide what you need and can't live without, then get rid of the rest. Now have a place for everything and put everything in its place. Filing cabinet for important papers, proper and easy to use storage system for your clothes(make sure its something you will use) If you have alot of stuff that you keep for memories maybe you could just take a picture of the items and store it on a cd or in an album. Get rid of garbage. Put stuff away when you are done with it EVEN if you plan to use it later. If you open it, close it .if you drop it, pick it up. You get the idea. Good luck!
Spend a full week and go through every closet, cabinet and orifice getting rid of junk.
Go through your stuff and pitch out what you don't need. After you've done that, if your place is still cluttered, rent a storage garage and store your extra stuff in it.
Ask yourself "do I love this item and will I use it?" If you are keeping something because of a memory or if someone special gave it to you or made it for you you may want to consider taking pictures of these items and writing a small caption or story about it and donate it to charity. Take 15 minutes out of each hour and go through things. If you try to do it for more than that you will get sidetracked. Here is a good decluttering website www.flylady.com
