What is a good vaccuum?
Question:I bought a Dirt Devil bagless about 3 years ago and it doesn't suck (LOL)! I have a cat and a dog. Should I get it professionally cleaned or just buy a different brand? I looked at this question asked before and most said either a Hoover Windtunnel or a Bissell. I don't really want to buy another one having just bought one, but if it's not a good vaccuum I will. Looking to spend around $120.

I love my Hoover Widepath Tempo which was $60.00. I also had a Dirt Devil and after 3 years it would not pick up much at all. The Hoover was $75.00 in the store but I took an ad in from the internet on Amazon which offered it at $60.00 with free shipping and handling and the salesman sold it to me in the store for the same price. It is powerful and lightweight and even has a light that shines on the floor so you can see better. It is great!
Unfortunately for $120 a vacuum won't last long or work that well. You may need to consider investing a little more money into a good vacuum like a Miele.
We have a dyson animal, a bagless vacuum that works very well (we have 3 cats). The other versions are virtually the same (the animal has a pretty useless stair cleaner). This vacuum is small, and easy to clean. I had a hoover (model ??) before that cost about $120, but it wasn't worth the hassel (I tried everything to make it work in picking up hair).
Bed, Bath, and Beyond sends out 20% off coupons. This is pretty close to the best deal you can get for dysons, and you can get one of the models for about $300-350 using this deal (cheaper than the more upscale vacuums).

Eureka bagless vacuum. I have three kids, a cat and a husband. I love my vacuum because it has no bag. I bought this vacuum when my husband was in Iraq. I had a bag vacuum and the bag just exploded on me in the kitchen. I got mad and the vacuum lost. I went out and bought the bagless and haven't had any problems.
