I don't think it will harm the dishwasher. hope not anyway b/c I do it from time to time if Im out of dishwasher stuff. Just use a little b/c it suds up really bad and suds may come out the bottom. just stick a towel on the floor to catch any suds and you may have to rinse twice ... but hey--still better than washing them by hand! LOL = P
It will not harm it but it will cause the door seal to leak due to the fact that this type of soap is to light and foamy to use in a dishwasher.
It will not harm it but you will have water and bubbles everywhere. When I was in college I tried that one and I came home to a big mess.
It's fine in miniscule amounts... if you add a lot you'll have a kitchen full of suds!
it wont I did it before but don't put a lot because it will make a lot of over following bubbles every where then u will have to clean it up lol that's no fun
it's too foamy, it might burn out the pump because, the foam bubbles can make the pump "Air Bound", it loses suction (and cooling properties) from the water, AND possibly might over heat, burning it out
Oh my God, don't do it! One time while my parents were away on vacation, I accidentally used regular dish soap in the dishwasher, and the ENTIRE kitchen was flooded with soap!! It was horrible, don't do it!

You can use regular borax in place of dishwasher detergent if you're out, and white vinegar in place of jet dry. Neither of those will hurt the dishwasher & they won't leave your kitchen looking like a foam party either!
Do not use dish soap!!!!!!!!!!... I did once by mistake and my whole kitchen filled with soap suds!!!!!!! I had to run dish washer 5 times with nothing in it to clear out all the suds.
Yes it will really make a mess dawn isn't good at all to use in dish washer's.
