My dryer doesn't work like it used to. Takes almost two times to dry if there is a lot of clothes.?
Question:When I moved in, they had the same dryer, but it was older than mine and had a different chord. The old one burned out, so I took the chord from the old one and put it on the new one. At my old place, my dryer worked great, you wouldn't even have to run it the full time. Help!!

Sounds like your exhaust hose is clogged or kinked. If the dryer is heating up property, it's the vent hose that is the culprit.
I had the same problem:

I bet your dryer is clogged with lint. You should move it take the back off and take a look! Check the air hose leading to the outside too.
Whenever my dryer doesn't dry I know the lint basket is full and needs cleaning. Hope that is all it is. I know for a fact it builds up in the back of these too so take a look.
Sounds like you live in a rental property and if so have your maint. person clean the vent line from the dryer to the outside of the bldg.they do get plugged up over the years. It is also a fire hazard not having your dryer working properly.
check the lint trap, make sure to dig down in there where that screen goes to make sure nothing is clogged there. Also, that tube that runs from your dryer to the outside sometimes can get standing water in it and it will take forever to dry clothes, its a pain to soak up the water but its possible, we used several towls tied to the end of a broom stick, lol! Also, check the heater coil.
Wow sounds like you are wasting a lot of hydro. Buy a new one. It will probably pay for itself in no time.
