How do i unclog the hand sprayer nozzle on my kitchen sink?
Question:Is there some sort of product made for this, or is there some other type of household cleaner that will unclog the nozzle?
Answers:
If you can unscrew the nozzle from the sprayer, just take it off and soak it in a bowl of vinegar for a few hours or overnight and the lime should wash right off. Or you can use the lime-away stuff but it's really smelly and a lot more expensive.
Unscrew it, turn it around and push the stuff out with a small pointed object.
On most of these the spray head will unscrew from the end and you can clean it with a needle or paper clip if this is not an option soaking it in lime away, just put a small amount in a glass or cup and soak the sprayer in this according to the product label.
Try spinning it off (righty tighty, lefty loosey) and clean the screen with a nylon brush. Or - get one of the rust and lime remover products, make a paste out of it and cake it on the screen. Taking it off is your best bet, you might have to use pliers. If you do, use a dish cloth or something like that under the jaws of the pliers so you don't ruin the finish on the faucet.
there is a product called clr or lime away put some in plastic bag or bowl. pull nozzle and hose to sufficient length to rest in bowl or bag. just let it set for about 30 minutes. rinse off should work like new.
Give this a try!
White vinegar and water soaking is a great way to remove mineral deposits from shower heads and spray nozzles. Soak the nozzle head in straight white vinegar and then cover with a small plastic bag. Let it sit for a few hours or overnight.
Dip it in a small glass of limeaway.
