How do I remove human urine from couch cushions?

Question:My neighbor's two year old son had an accident on my couch. What is the best way to clean it?

Answers:
VINEGAR, SALT AND WATER SOLUTION WILL DO

Use one and half cup of Vinegar and 1/4 cup of salt mixed in a bowl of water. Soak in a light coloured absorbent material or mild sponge and scrub from the surface, allow to penetrate inwards depending on the magnitude of the urine. Then dry couch

Vinegar is an antibiotic
useful for stain removal
removes offensive odour
It leaves a sweet smell on

Salt is also an antibiotic

This might be the most economical, effective and handy

I would use Resolve for Pet stains. It will remove the urine and the urine smell. Then set cushions out in the sun to air out if possible... If not...then after stain is dry, spray Febreeze all over to freshen the fabric.
You may have to remove the stain first...then shampoo the entire couch to keep colors the same.

wash , then air dry and spray febreeze on the cushions...
Mix this and spray on. Must use within 20 minutes and do not attempt to store the remainder in a closed bottle. It works by producing by-products that are only active for that time period anyway. Stored it leaks or foams out of the bottle!

Mix: about 8 oz. Hydrogen Peroxide (brown bottle in 1st aid aisle)and 3 tablespoons baking soda (small box in baking aisle), and a drop of liquid hand dishwashing liquid. Mix well andspray onto stain, within 5 minutes stain should be gone. If the baking soda leaves a white powder, you can vacuum it off, or wipe with a damp rag, but this usually is not a problem unless you add too much baking soda.

I work with the elderly in-home or in assisted living homes. And this is the best remedy to remove urine (also works on pet urine stains).
.
Wow...try baking soda. Dilute with water and then pat dry. Use windex, too, after.windex works great!
