Home remedy for removing rust on metals?

Question:

Answers:
wd40 or pure coke syrup.

military uses both.

Sounds silly but if possible try soaking them in some coke.
Jewelery cleaner let the soak about an 1 hour and rinse
It depends on how much rust is on the item and how long it has been there. I have had good luck with scrubbing with baking soda on a damp cloth. If the rust is not too deep this will get it off. It is hard work tho. If you leave the baking soda on for a while before you rince it off it will do more good.
splash a little weak acid on it, like vinegar, coke, or even tabasco sauce. Then scrub the acid off with a wire brush, dry it off real well, and spray it with a little oil, or some kind of varnish.
Soak them in coke a cola. It works very well.
If I had to I'd soak it in coke.
