There is a odor coming out of my air vents in my home what can i do to make it smell fresh ??
Question:it smells like a old dirty sock and i need it to smell fresh when u walk in my home because everything is clean my house is so clean you can eat off the floor and i have air freshners in every room so i know its the air vents from my ac..please help

Locate the intake vent (the one where the filter goes) and place an air freshener of your choice inside the shaft. I spray the filter with Febreze - that usually does the trick.

Change the filters in the air vents. If that doesn't help, do what I do. Find the intake and spray some Febreeze in there. It helps a lot!! =)
In the aisle where you buy air filters for your a/c unit, you can find a spray that you spray onto the filters before you insert them back into the return.
Those air freshners really work if you spray the filter regularly (like once a week)
Where I live at...Lowe's has a special air freshener for vents that you can put over the vent and the scent will circulate throughout the room...you should check that out. And if that doesn;t work u should try cleaning out your vent
Unfortunately, it sounds like a dead mouse (they smell like dirty socks). If you can locate and remove it, that will take care of it the fastest. That's really hard, though. You may just have to wait it out.
They make some stuff that you can spray in the vents but I suspect you will have to get a company to come out and clean the ducts. There are companies who specialize in this. I have no idea what they charge.
Stick a scented fabric softener sheet in the air vents for a fresh smell, every time your a/c comes on. I use the Downy fabric softener sheets in my car, under the seats, for a fresh smell that's not overpowering.
Clean your air ducts. it really helps!
